Barn Cake
For a baby shower. This cake along with 100 cupcakes will be on a tiered cupcake stand. Half of the cupcakes have yellow jimmies, the others have 3 mini flowers. I love this cake!

Pregnant Belly cake (again)
While I call this the pregnant belly cake, many call it the baby bump cake. Regardless, this is another one that I've made. This was a VERY last minute request due to a mishap in their order with another baker. I hope that they like it.

Pregnant Belly Cake
Today's pregnant belly cake serves quite a few more than the other ones that I've made. I didn't do a very good job with the lighting... cake was a light-medium shade of purple. Hope that they enjoy it!

Long ear bunny
Meet Blossom's friend, the long-eared bunny. I think she is also cute and was a lot quicker to make than Blossom! Note to self... less curl to ear next time and slightly shorter ears! Would be cute with some grass icing around her and some jelly beans! Off she goes... hippity hop to the Open House tomorrow!

Easter Bunny
I've waited a year to make this cake. I saw this cake made by Sharon Zambito in Louisiana. She is absolutely amazing and has been on a lot of the cake shows on tv. This is today's therapy session.... took a LONG time to make. Sharon named it "Blossom Bunny" and I think that is appropriate! Blossom will be greeting people at my Open House this Saturday! Thanks Sharon!

Pretty rose pound cake
My contribution to our dinner with friends this evening. Vanilla almond pound cake, with strawberries and a sprinkling of powdered sugar... should be yummy!

"Brock's Cake"

| At the party with the wired decorations or "pokies" |
One of my most popular cakes is "Brock's cake". When I receive a call referencing it I know exactly which cake the caller is talking about. Actually, I think it should be called "CJ's" cake since I believe that was the original one. Regardless, the past 2 weeks I have had several request for "Brock's cake".

Favorite Cake Classes
What will it Bee?
Some cakes just make you smile... this one made me smile. It was for a baby shower luncheon at a local dentist office. As you can see, the mom-to-be does not know if it will Bee a girl or Bee a boy!Sunday, September 9, 2012
Dinosaur Birthday
I've made some fun children's cakes this past summer. This cake was a last minute request for a dinosaur birthday cake. The birthday boy really liked it! The following weekend I made a cake for his brother... will find that photo and post it also. Be sure to check out the cake on my facebook page!

Cake Bling
This was a last minute cake request. I learned that if I do a last minute cake... can't be overly elaborate! Why? Sadly, the ring was rushed and was not hard enough so the it didn't stay as round looking! I did make the isomalt diamond which was fun. The bling on the sides... purchased from a cake supplier in New York... expensive but fun so I had to buy some! It is several rows of silver rhinestone mesh.... not edible. I am going to order some gold rhinestone mesh also.

Sarah's Graduation
I decided to do something "different" for Sarah's graduation cake. Thought that I would recognize her years of achievement by commemorating where she will be going to college. Since Columbia University is in New York City, I used some outlines of NYC buildings. The crown is the orginal logo used back in 1754. I believe there are several crowns in use but this one was easier for me to cut out of gum paste. Cake was almond vanilla (my favorite). She loved her cake. The fondant was pretty good (Albert Uster). Good Luck Sarah Faith!Sunday, June 10, 2012
Pink Ruffled Birthday Cake
Sarah Faith's 18th Birthday cake
I wanted to try a ruffled cake and decided to experiment for my daughter's birthday. For a first attempt, I thought it turned out fairly well. More importantly, the birthday girl LOVED her cake!
