This is my first attempt at a wine bottle cake. Overall, I was pleased with it. I certainly learned while I was doing it. The crate is fondant over buttercream. The bottle is buttercream. The white shavings in the crate are grated white chocolate. I used the imprint from a bottle of wine from Owl's Eye Winery to make the impression on the top of the bottle (can't see it in the photo). My husband helped to carve the wine bottle!
