Sarah's Graduation
I decided to do something "different" for Sarah's graduation cake. Thought that I would recognize her years of achievement by commemorating where she will be going to college. Since Columbia University is in New York City, I used some outlines of NYC buildings. The crown is the orginal logo used back in 1754. I believe there are several crowns in use but this one was easier for me to cut out of gum paste. Cake was almond vanilla (my favorite). She loved her cake. The fondant was pretty good (Albert Uster). Good Luck Sarah Faith!Sunday, June 10, 2012
Pink Ruffled Birthday Cake
Sarah Faith's 18th Birthday cake
I wanted to try a ruffled cake and decided to experiment for my daughter's birthday. For a first attempt, I thought it turned out fairly well. More importantly, the birthday girl LOVED her cake!

Baby Belly Cake

This cake was a lot of fun to do! Never thought that I would do a cake of a pregnant belly... but I did! Red velvet cake with cream cheese icing covered with fondant.

Carousel cake at Shelby City Park Carousel
This is one of my favorite cakes! The carousel is molded from white chocolate and decorated with fondant. Everything except the sticks was edible. With the carousel in the background... and all of the pink and blue decorations.... the cake fit right in! The mini cake for the birthday girl had a horse lollipop on it also.

College Oreos

Hi! I am busy getting ready for Christmas but there has been lots of excitement in college football! My college themed oreos have been very popular and I have lots more to make. With the bowl games coming up and many high school seniors receiving college acceptances.... it is a great time to order some oreos. Here are some Clemson and South Carolina oreos! I alternate with chocolate and white chocolate coatings and usually couple of decorations! They can also be paired with cakeballs and sugar cookies for trays of treats!
